Reporting by Dimensions and Additional Settings
Reports can be expanded based on dimensions or additional settings, allowing you to analyze financial data in greater detail.
Dimensions
Reports can be broken down by the following dimensions:

Additional Settings
Reports can also be analyzed using the following classifications:

Fixed / Variable

Direct / Indirect

Interest-bearing / Non-interest-bearing (Balance Sheet accounts)
Configuring Account Groupings
To analyze and report costs correctly, you must first define how General Ledger Accounts are grouped. These groupings form the basis for all subsequent analyses and reports.
Step 1: Open Dossier Settings
Click your username and select Current Dossier Settings.
In the window, enable the required options under General Ledger Account Grouping (3):

Direct and Indirect Costs
-
Fixed and Variable Costs
-
Interest-bearing Debt
Click OK to save the settings.Classifying General Ledger Accounts
After enabling the grouping options, you can classify your General Ledger Accounts.
Step 2: Open General Ledger Accounts
Go to Data → Manage and Organize and select General Ledger Accounts from the left-hand panel.
Step 3: Classify Each Account
The overview now displays additional columns, including:

Fixed / Variable
-
Direct / Indirect
-
IBD (Interest-Bearing Debt)
For each General Ledger Account, use the toggle switches to assign the appropriate classification.
These classifications are used throughout Factview for reporting and financial analysis.
The classification columns are only visible after the corresponding grouping options have been enabled in the **Dossier Settings**.
